  • HERE’S WHAT I LEARNT LAST WEEK: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌈 My home is the BEST place to see magical rainbows... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐨 The fingerprints of a koala are so similar to human’s that they have on occasion been confused at a crime scene! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌏 January 2020 was the planet’s warmest January since record keeping began in 1880. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏃‍♀️ Running is therapy for me! It’s the way I clear my head and reconnect with my health (both mental and physical). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐜 Pangolins consume around 70 MILLION ants and termites PER YEAR. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ☀️ @sunbuttersuncare is the best sun protection on the market: it’s reef safe, chemical free, cruelty free, plant-based AND zero waste...   • “But perhaps the most important lesson I learned is that there are no walls between humans and elephants except those that we put up ourselves, and that until we allow not only elephants, but all living creatures their place in the sun, we can never be whole ourselves” — Lawrence Anthony ♥️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Every trip I take manages to teach me a valuable lesson, and this quote perfectly describes what I learnt during my magical experience in Kenya... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The rights of every living creature are as sacred as our own, and we each play a vital role in maintaining a healthy ecosystem... Living in harmony with wildlife is vital; not just for ourselves, but for the future of this planet too 🌍
  • A perfect example of why Nepal is one of my favourite countries... 🏔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was easily the best sunrise I’ve ever been lucky enough to witness. What a privilege it is to walk this Earth ♥️ (SWIPE 👉🏼)
  • When we connect we care, when we care we protect... 🌱 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A quick reminder from me to you that we are ALL connected; to each other, to nature, and to this Earth we call home. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Be kind, love hard, tread lightly, look up at the sky, sink your feet into the soil... Deep connection — to everyone and everything — is really all we need. I’m striving for it, and I challenge you to do the same too ♥️
  • HERE’S WHAT I LEARNT LAST WEEK: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌍 Only 4% of Earth’s mammalian biomass is wild... The remaining 96% is made up of humans and livestock. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌶 A green capsicum (bell pepper) is just a red capsicum that is picked before it’s ripe 🤯 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏃‍♀️ My new goal is to be able to run 15km. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥰 You have to look after yourself in order to make space for others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐟 Underwater speakers are being used to play sounds of vibrant living reef to attract young fish and revitalize the coral damaged by climate breakdown! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🐜 When combined, all the ants on Earth weigh about as much as all human beings. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ♥️ Although my self confidence has drastically risen, there are still parts of myself that I’m deeply self conscious about...   • Hobbies are my key to happiness... 🌟 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This has been a massive realization for me over the last few months... As we all know, there’s nothing more important than your mental health, and when I don’t feel like myself, hobbies are the one thing that I ALWAYS fall back on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hiking, gardening, photography, wildlife conservation, diving deep into sustainability, and running/fitness are my hobbies; they inspire my travels, they strengthen my mental health, and most importantly, they keep me excited about life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Nothing you do in life will thrive unless your mind is healthy and happy. So, find your hobbies, find what YOU love, and make it a priority to regularly incorporate them into your life. Do something for you and ONLY you, it’s vital. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now it’s your turn – what are your hobbies? Tell me what keeps you excited about life ♥️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Oh and PS.   • I’m going to be honest, 2020 didn’t start out the way I had hoped... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s been hard - not just for myself, but for those I love too. But what I’ve learnt through this heartbreaking period, is that difficult times often remind you of what’s really important in life; they remind you to love hard, be gentle with yourself, and to never take life for granted ♥️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Life can be really hard at times, but boy oh boy is it beautiful too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For those of you who are also going through hardships, remember that you are loved, you are important, and your presence matters here. The rain won’t last forever, I promise. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now before I step away from the mic, I leave you with the happiest baby ele you’ll probably ever see... If I can strive to be anything in life, I strive to be as happy as this guy is about a blade of grass. Don’t forget to treasure the little things, friends 🌱🐘
  • Moments of magic ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3 words that perfectly describe how 2019 has been for me... It was a testing year, a reflective year, and a life-changing year all in one, but it was made up of moments of magic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve met incredible people, I’ve had beautiful (and challenging) experiences, and I’ve learnt countless valuable lessons; about myself, about the planet, and about how to be a better human... And what a privilege that is 🙏🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sending you all a big bunch of love, today and everyday. Now go and enjoy life’s million moments of magic ♥️
  • LESSONS 〰️ My time in the Himalayas taught me more than I EVER expected it to... There were highs and there were lows, but here are a few of the valuable lessons I learnt whilst in the magic of the mountains: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - There’s so much beauty in traveling solo... Meeting new, diverse people is what makes life so damn beautiful 💫 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - Trekking is something that I have a deep longing to continue. The mountains make me feel at home 🏔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - No matter how hard you try, nothing ever goes exactly as you planned... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - My stomach may be weak, but my mind is so very strong. Human strength comes in many different forms 💪🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - There is a huge difference between listening to respond and listening to understand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - Spending time away from social media and focusing on human connection is so important. Seriously, it’s good for your soul. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - Go slooooow... Take it one step at a time and soak up the magic of life. There’s no need to rush 🍃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - Team work makes the dream work 🤙🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - It is the biggest privilege to live on this Earth and to experience the power of nature. Don’t EVER take that for granted (please). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And lastly... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - The mountains can reveal both the good and the bad in you, and there are SO many things that I need to work on in order to be the best human being that I can possibly be... Self growth is never ending, and I’m committed to it ♥️
  • One of my favourite moments from my time in the Himalayas... 🌜 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I woke up early and headed outside to watch the sunrise; monks were chanting in the distance, the air was still, it was freezing cold and my nose felt like it was close to falling off, but boy was my heart full. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The sky lit up in splashes of pink as the sun began to rise, and off into the distance the moon slowly hid away behind the rugged mountain peaks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was alone, but I certainly didn’t feel it. These mountains are magic to say the very least 🏔
