Borneo; the place where orangutans roam free, forests grow old and history speaks loud.
A beautiful, rugged island in Southeast Asia that is home to parts of 3 different countries. One state of Indonesia, 2 states of Malaysia, and the entire tiny country of Brunei.
An island full of wildlife, nature and unfortunate devastation. Borneo is a very luscious place full of so much culture and beauty, and although there is a large portion that’s still untouched by man, there’s also a huge amount that has undoubtedly been destroyed.
This island taught me so much about how we sadly affect our planet, but the luscious scenery it showed me was something I’ll never forget; the abundance of wildlife, eery mountain tops and ancient rainforests were unlike anywhere else in the world.
