ECO FRIENDLY BRANDS FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
You may not realise, but the products you use in your everyday life can have a severe impact on your body, the environment and the world. Here are some eco-friendly brands and green products that you can switch to, to stop the stress and destruction of our beautiful world.
There’s no reason we can’t all be sustainable and environmentally friendly, it’s much easier than you may think.
– Thankyou –
The most unbelievable brand you will ever come across. Thankyou is literally changing the world.
100% of all profits made from the multiple ‘Thankyou’ ranges are donated to fund life-changing food, water, health and sanitation programs around the world. They have a baby range, hand & body products and water bottles that each raise money for their category. Eg. Water bottle profits fund freshwater programs, hand & body products fund sanitation programs.
They work 100% to end global poverty.
Is there any more I can say?
– Earths Choice –
Ever wondered what really goes down your drain?
Every little ingredient you use in your house that you wash down the sink, shower, dishwasher, washing machine or bath, all have an impact on the environment.
Earth Choice works tirelessly on making products that are eco friendly, so that you don’t have to worry about the damage you’re doing from your home. Their ranges include products such as toilet cleaner, dish wash liquid, fabric softener, laundry liquid, stain remover, floor cleaner, glass cleaner, kitchen cleaner and floor cleaner.
Available in many supermarkets. There’s no need to look anywhere else for your household cleaners, this is the best of the eco friendly brands for your home!
– Antipodes / A’kin / Sukin / Swisse –
Skincare is so important, but being conscious of ingredients is just as important as it is for your skin.
Some major ingredients that are damaging to the environment are exfoliating micro-beads, BHA, synthetic fragrances, silicone and chemical sunscreens. 4 of my favourite, affordable and natural skincare brands are:
Antipodes – An organic skincare brand that is vegetarian approved, 70-95% certified organic and 100% free of animal testing.
Swisse – Swisse Skincare environmentally friendly products are made from premium quality natural ingredients that support your health on the inside and out. Unfortunately, they still use small amounts of sustainable palm oil but are working tirelessly to discover another alternative.
A’kin – 100% vegan, 100% recyclable, Australian owned & made, not tested on animals.. and they’re products are beautiful, hydrating and perfect for any skin type.
Sukin – The most affordable of all ranges. Sukin is 100% carbon neutral, cruelty-free, and vegan. On top of all of that, all formulations are biodegradable and grey water safe.
Save your skin and save the planet while you’re at it! ✔
– Who Gives A Crap –
This is a new one for me, but omg it’s totally my favourite.
Who Gives A Crap is an eco-friendly brand building toilets for the underprivileged people around the world. They fund health and sanitation projects, save tens of thousands of trees, saves thousands of litres of water and prevents thousands of tons of greenhouse gas emissions from being released into our atmosphere. How? By selling you environmentally friendly toilet paper of course!
The green products from the ranges include 100% recycled toilet paper, forest friendly tissues and non-tree paper towels. Perfect for every household. They even have multiple pack sizes and pre-paid subscription deals that will be sent straight to your door without any hassle!
I know where I’m now going to get my loo paper from!!
– Inika –
“Pure, natural, flawless” – It’s as simple as that.
This Australian, but worldwide, makeup brand is certified organic, certified vegan, 100% cruelty-free and halal approved. They tick all the boxes for being environmentally friendly, but they also tick the boxes in their beautiful products. They are just as amazing for your skin as they are for the planet.
The only downside to Inika is the small colour selection, but if your skin tone is right for the range, it is certainly worth the try. Available around the world and at a reasonable price.
There is certainly no reason your makeup should be damaging to the environment, the animals or yourself for that matter.
– Reduce your plastic consumption –
Re-usable shopping bags, reusable drink bottles, reusable straws, re-useable Tupperware!
I have no specific brands for this one; there are so many that are easily accessible where ever you are in the world.
Plastic is basically the devil. Try your hardest to avoid it.
Being eco-friendly really isn’t hard. With a few small adjustments to your everyday life, you will be preventing habitat destruction, the death of wildlife, environmental degradation and destruction. If everyone became more conscious, imagine what we could do!
Which of the above eco-friendly brands is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!
