When I first visited Far North Queensland, I was about 7 years old. To say that I can barely remember the trip is a massive understatement, as all that comes to my mind from this family holiday was getting stung by a jellyfish at the Great Barrier Reef…
As I’m now a fully fledged adult (or at least I think I am) I thought it was about time that I rekindle my relationship with the Tropical North, and experience the beauty of Queensland once more.
On this spontaneous New Years adventure, my partner and I travelled to Port Douglas, stopping at most of the major sites along the way as well as finding our own hidden gems. We visited Mossman Gorge, Cape Tribulation, the Daintree and of course… The Great Barrier Reef!
The humidity was high, the sun was shining, the wildlife was out in force, and of course… The friendly locals were there with a smile! What better place to bring in the New Year, right?
Every little bit of this trip made me fall deeply in love with the country I call home, and now I’m here to share with you, a photo diary of my incredible tropical adventures! Enjoy XX
